Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into an ethnically diverse family. She is English but her father is Nigerian. She was born on the South London Council Estate and attended The Brit School aged 14. She studied acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. She was a part of various stages during her high college days, such as the stage productions King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe first began her career as an actress in the movie Storm Damage. She's appeared as a guest on Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. Following that success she was cast as Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN which aired in 2007 and she also appeared in the six episodes of Trexx as well as Flipside playing Ollie. She was Bambi in The ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a star in 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Theatre credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009 with The drama The Beautiful Life. The series aired only two episodes before being ended on The CW. In February of 2011, she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. After being a regular for the first two seasons, it was announced in May 2013 that Madekwe was set to leave the show after her appearance on the first episode from the 3rd season. From 2014 until the year 2016, she appeared on Salem as Tituba. Madekwe got married to her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg in June 2012. They both appeared on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also starred as partners in Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into an extended family of. Her family included her parents Roy and Patty along with four of their older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's brothers, who were who were all extremely active, took part in hockey during the winter months and played baseball in the summer months, which means she basically grew up in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley was unable to walk, but danced. This led to the fact that at the age of 2, she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley became a dancer immediately. Ashley continued to perform competitively throughout high school in top divisions such as ballet, tap, Jazz and Pointe. She also competed in Acrobatics, Acrobatics Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and much more. Ashley took home the best soloist honor at each major dance competition, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among a few.
