Leighton Meester, an American singer, model, actor and songwriter, is a multi-talented artist. She is best known for playing 'Blair Waldorf,' in the tv drama "Gossip Girl." Leighton Meester started her career as a kid. She was featured on a stage in her home town a production of the 'Wizard of Oz'. The show inspired her to pursue acting. The first roles she had were models and commercials. In her modeling assignments, she has been a part of major brands, including 'Herbal Essences'"Vera Wang,' Jimmy Choo,' and 'Ralph Lauren.' Though she began her career as an actress, she began her modeling career as a model. Her first acting role came through the TV show 'Law and Order'.
